This isn't a freshman class at all, to say the least. XXL originally created a freshman list to bring attention to artists who they think are up next, all of these artists on this list with a few exceptions are already on top. They really think Lil Pump needs more recognition???? Blocboy has a platinum track with Drake, YBN Nahmir has a platinum track with "Rubbin Off the Paint". Smokepurpp's song "Audi." is already gold and is probably going platinum. One thing you might not know is that the list is supposed to have 10 spots, and according the XXL the 10th spot if voted on by the fans which a complete lie because then Famous Dex or 6ix9ine would've gotten in but instead it was given to Lil Skies who turned it down so then XXL offered it to Rich The Kid who also turned it down, who really thought Rich The Kid a multi-platinum artist wants to be the backup for Lil Skies. They basically said to him "we only want you because Skies turned us down". THIS IS RICH THE KID WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HE'S A HEADLINE ARTIST NOT A BACKUP. XXL you screwed up, again.
