LuvTrixx Talks Linking Up With Thouxanbanfauni, Getting Locked Up At The Same Jail With Kodak More

We got the chance to connect with producer, LuvTrixx. He’s had the opportunity to work with artists like Thouxanbanfauni, UnoTheActivist, and Denzel Curry. He’s got more music coming your way with both Fauni and Uno this year so keep an eye out for that. Check out my favorite song he produced “Concealed” by Thouxanbanfauni and UnoTheActivist of their most recent mixtape “For Christ Sake 2

Where are you from and what age did you first make a connection to producing music? And how long have you been producing music?

I’m from Opa Locka, FL it’s a city in Miami. I think I might have been 12 when I first downloaded FL studio, but I couldn’t figure out how to get plugins or open the piano roll so I just engineered instead.

What's your producer tag?

I have two right now, the main one is just “Trixx” with the horn, I like it a lot, people peep it, but my second one is more catchy just gotta use it more “Trixx 4 kids know we always been bad kid with it”. Branding purposes & Consistency

What was going on in your life when you made your first beat? Was producing always the goal?

In 2016 was going through a legal situation when I started making beats. I intended to make beats at the time because they told me “Can’t rap over YouTube beats"... so I was like ok, I had extra money and would be recording as a relief, I could always rap and write songs/stories since I was little, but I actually fell straight in love with producing. Once I got all the sounds ha.

When/what made you start taking producing from a hobby to a career?

I needed something else of value to my life other than what I had going on. I was already in love with it, I remember laying in my bed in 2016 when I said “Lemme just take this shit serious”, but Miami can be such an unaccepted place for expression, so sometimes it's hard to believe shit is possible. But it is.

What's your scene? Would you rather be at the crib cooking up beats solo? Or be in the studio collaborating with other producers?

I’m can be moody, so most times I like to be at home, in case I start feeling sick. I really think it could be anxiety. I like working with other producers definitely though! That’s how you get better and it’s fun with the right people.

How/when did you first connect with UnoTheActivist and Thouxanbanfauni?

I met Fauni 16’ in LA on vacay. It was crazy the literal next day I went home, went to jail and was booked with Kodak. I was like man I’m finna do music haha. I met Uno in 2017 when I moved to LA.

Can you run us through the process of making the "Concealed" beat? How did Uno and Fauni end up hopping on it? Were you with them in the studio when they recorded it? If so can you run us through that session?

I have my moments where I get major ear fatigue from sounding cliche. So "Concealed" was made in one of those moments. I played a couple of different beats that night, but Fauni wanted to make something different & so did Uno, and the beat was different from every other beat I played or being played that day. They recorded “CHOPPA DOWN” that night too, and “THEM SIRENS” all FCS2 shit. FCS3 gon be retarded.

Can you run us through the process of making the "How You Scared of Fire" beat? How did Fauni end up hopping on it? Were you with him in the studio when he recorded it? If so can you run us through that session?

I made how you scared of fire when I had my first apt in LA. So it was vibes I remember it being just dark as fuck in the room, no light no tv just the laptop haha. I took it to the sesh with Fauni, & played it like the 2nd or 3rd beat, he picked it immediately like he knew. People love that song it’s really crazy. He didn’t even promo his album he went to jail, really think about what’s going on.

Can you run us through the process of making the "Heavy Metal" beat? How did Fauni and Denzel Curry end up hopping on it? Were you with him in the studio when he recorded it? If so can you run us through that session?

This beat was all vibes I remember smoking the blunt and looking out the patio after making it like “yeaaah this shit here too cool”. I kinda knew it was gon get done by somebody, but literally, the next day Dauni and Curry were in the studio talking shit, laughing... I snuck on a beat and Curry automatically said “oh dis shit hard as fuck”, Fauni went in the booth first and tore the shit down, Curry followed. They both freestyled.

How did you establish yourself/get your beats heard as a producer? Any advice tool the producers trying to establish themselves in 2019?

I don’t know I think I’m made for music more than I was made for sports. My advice to producers is to do your best to understand the culture, that will help you.

What's on the horizon for your music career in 2019?

Some of the best music coming! Got tapes, singles, visuals all type of stuff dropping. Bout to put shit back in order Taliban way.
