Catching Up With Gamerboomin A Producer From Arkansas Who's Got Some Knowledge To Drop

Having worked with artists like Famous Dex, Thouxanbanfauni, Lil Uzi Vert, UnoTheActivist, CHXPO, and Yung Tory he's got some of the most fire beats in the game. Check out one of my favorite productions of his "Visa" by Famous Dex (feat. UnoTheActivist) with additional production byTrillGotJuice.

Where are you from and what age did you first make a connection to producing music?

I’m from a small town named Pine Bluff Arkansas I first started making beats when I was 13 years old. I also got my first placement at age 15.

Describe your creative process?

Once I hear/come up with a melody the deed is done. Step 2 drums, 3 , and mastering

How did you build up such a long and impressive list of placements? Explain.

Honestly, social media, I literally utilized YouTube, Twitter, and a few popping artists over time, my beats were everywhere. I would literally wake up and check social media and see my favorite rappers bumping my beats, it’s crazy.

What's one thing people should know about you as a producer?

One this everyone should know is, GamerBoy keeps a fresh sound, I’m Often Imitated But Never Duplicated. GamerBoy Is Very Distinct.

What song did you do with Melly?

"5150"- YNW Melly (feat. YNW Juvy, and YNW Sakchaser), this song is kinda old to us but back then Melly freestyled everything he did, his working process is unexplainable, He’ll Literally rap over a beat he’s never heard AT ALL. And kill it! Free Melly he'll be home soon.

How and when did you decide you wanted to turn producing music into a career?

I decided I wanted to turn this into a full-time career, is when I literally sat back and realized that I worked with every artist I’ve wanted to + more by the age of 20 with my own power, hard work and dedication, that’s when I knew. The only yhing I can do at this point is to progress.

How did you end up connecting with Uzi?

That song snippet is honestly years old that’s the old, on Philly, SoundCloud Uzi it’s golden. Stay tuned for that one.

Favorite beat program?

I know this is very cliche, but FL Studio 12 I’ve been rocking with image line since FL Studio 9 and for the record, I bought my FL studio legitimately. But for me, FL studio helps me get the job done efficiently.

What do you do in your free time when you're not producing?

I honestly just sit up and watch car videos, I’m an enthusiast, all cars, all motor displacements, all forced injections, I love it. I do want to produce for a few videographers one day.

What's on the horizon for your music career in 2019?

I'm planning on geographically taking over! From literally the West to the East, North to South! I want GamerBoy EVERYWHERE‼ All I ask for is time.

Check Him Out!
